Incar Assured™
Raising the Standards Since 2008
Auckland-wide | On-site Service
Why Incar Assured Exists
Anyone can offer a pre-purchase inspection.
The difference isn’t the company name.
The difference is who inspects the vehicle, how thoroughly it’s inspected, and whether you can trust the advice you’re receiving.
That’s why every inspection completed by InCar Automotive follows the InCar Assured™ Standard—a standard built on experience, independence, documented evidence and complete accountability.
The Standard Behind Every Pre-Purchase Inspection
When you’re buying a used vehicle, you’re placing your trust in the person inspecting it.
That trust shouldn’t be based on a logo, a membership badge or clever marketing.
It should be based on experience, qualifications, independence and accountability.
That’s exactly what Incar Assured™ represents.
I’ve spent more than 30 years in the automotive industry and completed over 19,000 pre-purchase inspections since 2008.
Every inspection I perform must meet the standard I’d expect for my own family.
That’s my promise to every customer.
Why My Standards Matter
A pre-purchase inspection is one of the most important investments you’ll make before buying a used vehicle.
Whether you’re spending $10,000, $50,000 or $150,000, the inspection is often the only truly independent assessment you’ll receive before committing to the purchase.
Unfortunately, not all inspections are created equal.
The quality of an inspection isn’t determined by a company logo or how long someone spends with the vehicle.
It’s determined by the knowledge, experience, qualifications, integrity and attention to detail of the person carrying out the inspection.
That’s why every inspection I perform follows the Incar Assured™ Standard.

The Incar Assured™ Standards
Personally Performed
When you book an inspection with Incar Automotive, you deal with me from start to finish.
I answer your enquiry.
I arrange the inspection directly with the seller.
I travel to the vehicle.
I perform the inspection.
I photograph and document every finding.
I write your report.
I personally explain the results and answer your questions afterwards.
Nothing is outsourced.
Nothing is delegated.
Nothing is lost in translation.
Every inspection carries my name and my reputation.
Experience Matters
Modern vehicles are more complex than ever.
Advanced safety systems, hybrid drivetrains, electric vehicles and sophisticated electronics require specialist knowledge.
I’m a qualified NZQA Level 4 Automotive Technician and NZQA Level 5 EV & Hybrid Technician with more than 30 years of hands-on automotive experience.
Since 2008 I’ve completed over 19,000 inspections across almost every make and model sold in New Zealand.
Experience isn’t something you can replace with a checklist.
Evidence, Not Opinions
Anyone can tell you a vehicle looks good.
I prefer evidence.
Every conclusion I make is supported by photographs, diagnostic testing, written explanations and documented observations.
Where necessary I include videos and specialist testing.
I don’t expect you to simply trust my opinion.
I’ll show you exactly how I reached it.
Complete Independence
I work for one person.
You.
I don’t receive commissions.
I don’t sell warranties.
I don’t earn money from repair work.
I have no financial interest in whether you buy the vehicle.
My only responsibility is giving you an honest, independent assessment so you can make an informed buying decision.
Honest Reporting
If I think you’ve found a great vehicle, I’ll tell you.
If I believe it’s likely to become an expensive mistake, I’ll tell you that too.
I don’t soften my findings to make a seller happy.
I don’t exaggerate problems to create unnecessary concern.
You’ll receive the same honest advice I’d give my own family.
Quality Takes Time
A professional inspection doesn’t finish when I leave the vehicle.
The on-site inspection is only part of the process.
After every inspection I carefully review photographs, analyse my findings, check technical information and prepare your report.
I often spend another two hours producing a detailed report that’s accurate, easy to understand and supported by evidence.
Because a rushed report is just as bad as a rushed inspection.
What Are You Really Paying For?
A professional pre-purchase inspection typically costs between $300 and $500.
Many buyers compare inspection companies by price.
I believe they’re asking the wrong question.
The better question is:
Who is actually inspecting your vehicle?
Many larger inspection companies employ multiple inspectors while the business covers administration, marketing, office staff and overheads from the inspection fee.
The person carrying out your inspection may not be the person who answered your enquiry.
They may not be the person writing your report.
They may not even be the person you speak with afterwards.
With Incar Automotive there is no uncertainty.
From your first enquiry…
…to arranging the inspection…
…to inspecting the vehicle…
…to writing the report…
…to discussing the results afterwards…
It’s me.
When you’re spending hundreds of dollars to protect a purchase worth tens of thousands, experience, accountability and consistency matter far more than a company logo.

Why I Choose to Work Alone
Many businesses grow by employing more inspectors.
I’ve deliberately chosen a different approach.
Every inspection carries my name.
Every report reflects my reputation.
By personally handling every booking, every inspection and every report, I know the standard never changes.
You won’t be allocated whichever inspector happens to be available.
You won’t wonder about the experience or qualifications of the person inspecting your vehicle.
You’ll know exactly who’s turning up.
Me.
My Commitment
I don’t measure my standards by memberships or industry badges.
I measure them by every inspection I complete and every customer who trusts me before making one of the biggest purchases they’ll ever make.
I’ve built my reputation one inspection at a time since 2008.
Every vehicle I inspect carries the Incar Assured™ Standard.
Not because an organisation says it does.
Because I do.
And because my reputation depends on getting it right.
