					Carl at Incar Automative conducted a full pre-purchase inspection of a hybrid Lexus GS450h. In the past I have gone with AA pre-purchase inspections and I was a bit apprehensive about going down another path. I am so please I did. Communication has been excellent throughout. The report, photos, and videos provide far more information than would have been provided by the AA. Highly recommended.

My wife and I were in Melbourne at the time and were looking at buying a Toyota Klugar in Auckland, New Zealand when we returned home. We required someone with exceeding high standards and reviews. 					This is my second time asking Carl for his help after 3 years. His inspection & reports seems more and more comprehensive than before. Really appreciated that he can look in to very detail of the car and found something that I haven't noticed. Instead of just pass or fail, he had also put his professional recommendation to you car to make sure you can aware of your car condition as well. His banned list provides a good reference as well preventing us going to some dealers that is not trust-worthy.

					Carl is the man! Rang up Carl on a Sunday to see if Carl could do a pre-purchase inspection ASAP as we desperately wanted to close the deal on a car before anyone else bought it. Despite some prior miscommunications of our own fault, Carl maintained the highest level of professionalism and went out of his way to re-arrange his busy schedule to accomodate us. Initially he said he was fully booked until Thursday, but on Monday (less than 24 hrs since I called) he found a way to do the inspection and we closed the deal with the seller on the same day. His report was extremely detailed and he provided hundreds of photos of the car's condition. I cannot speak highly enough about this man's professionalism, work ethic, and striving to produce the highest quality of service to his clients. And he's simply a good guy and let us know he's always open for any questions we might have. My mum was so impressed with him that we wanted to pay him an extra tip for his outstanding work (but was unsure if this was allowed under a business account). If you're looking for a pre-purchase inspection, this is the only company I can recommend. After looking around for other services, I found that other companies were not as comprehensive and lacked a few checks here and there (usually due to lacking necessary technology/equipment), which could be the difference between a good car and a lemon. And others like AA may be too focused on ticking boxes on their checklist and inspectors may not have the experience or willingness to let buyers know about problems that might not be on said checklist. I wanted a thorough inspection and full confidence in the used car I'd be buying from a private seller as they obviously have not obligations under the CGA, and Carl gave us just that. We have already recommended Carl to some of our friends and will definitely be in touch in the future when looking for a new car ourselves. All the best to you Carl! 					Carl came recommended to me from a young salesman from a LMVD in Henderson. I looked him up online and sent an email a few days later, late one evening, querying his services as it was close to Christmas. I got a phone call about ten minutes later! When I had found a suitable car after a second test drive, Carl was called to arrange a pre purchase inspection for me. Once completed, the report was sent, in the timeframe he said it would, in depth with all the checks you need and plenty of photos, of the car both inside and out, showing even minor imperfections (2013 car will not be perfect!), I purchased the car and would recommend Carl to anyone wanting a thorough PPI on a car. Money well spent :)

					Carl performed a pre purchase inspection of a 2021 hybrid SUV for me. His communication was excellent and amazing amount of photos exterior and interior. The report contained a lot of detail but was written in a way I could understand. He found an issue which could have caused me issues in the next WOF. 					I asked Carl to do one of his 'mid-level' ($335) inspections on a second-hand Prius Alpha. He found time to fit this in within two days, and provided an extremely thorough inspection report in the wee hours of the morning (note: Carl probably needs to sleep more). The report included literally hundreds of photos, separate reports on different car systems, and most usefully, a summary inspection report outlining his findings that highlighted a couple of very minor things that the dealer should sort out before we drove the car away. I've had several inspections done in the past by the AA and all of them were absolutely fine. But this is really a 'next level' kind of report in terms of giving peace of mind that a car is in good shape. Thanks Carl!

					Carl completed a pre-purchase inspection for me on a Toyota Aqua and I found the thoroughness of his inspection (both mechanical and the hybrid system) and the detail of the report well and truly exceeded my expectations. He identified a few minor issues needing attention that I'd never have known about otherwise. These items were clearly highlighted in the report and he'd briefed the dealer also. In an extremely fortuitous turn of events, he happened to be doing another inspection at the same car yard when I picked up my car today so I was able to thank him directly. Unprompted, Carl helped question the dealer as to whether the issues had been fixed and as I was leaving he double-checked that the hybrid battery filter had been cleaned. Upon finding it wasn't, he got out his compressed air gun and did it on the spot! Carl is a true professional and clearly cares about his customers. I unreservedly recommend his services to anyone wanting peace of mind before purchasing a car -- I'll certainly be coming back next time I'm looking for a car! Thanks Carl!

					Carl did a pre-purchase inspection for me on a car I was looking at purchasing. I needed the inspection done over the weekend when AA and VTNZ were closed and so reached out to Carl. He was very accommodating with timing and was able to give me a quick rundown after the inspection before issuing the full report, which was super helpful. He was extremely thorough and checked so many things, even finding some previous damage and repair on the car which was practically invisible (I still can't see it!). His advice was very practical and helpful (e.g., he made it clear that the previous damage was minor and purely cosmetic, not affecting the function of the car) and I was very confident in proceeding with the purchase of the car after getting his green light. He was even kind enough to help with some follow up questions I had after purchasing the car. I couldn't recommend Carl highly enough, I feel his inspection is miles beyond what AA or VTNZ would have done, and I am extremely happy to have found him. Thank you so much Carl!

					Review for Incar Automotive: Having used Incar Automotive for two inspections, I can confidently say I have complete trust in their services. Carl is exceptionally thorough, with great attention to detail. The reports are comprehensive, featuring photographs and videos to enhance the information provided. Carl also went above and beyond to fit us into his busy schedule, which was crucial as we were competing with several other interested buyers. Without his flexibility, we might have lost the purchase. 					Very thorough inspection of vehicle, HONEST and professional mechanic. The report Carl provides is delivered on time and packed with in depth information and pictures detailing information about the car. He also summarised the report to make it more understandable for me - someone with little car knowledge. He dealt with the car yard salesman directly and also helped me to communicate to them areas that needed attention on the car. He replies quickly and travels to the location of the vehicle! 					Carl was actually out of Auckland when we first reached out for help regarding an EV we wanted to buy. The entire time Carl was away he still kept in contact with us with very helpful information for any questions we had. As soon as Carl got back into Auckland he went straight to the EV to inspect it for us. The inspection was extremely thorough and carried out very efficiently. Carl was very quick at getting the report back to us as well. We are very grateful as the report helped us make a good decision in buying this particular EV for our family. 					This was our second time using Carl to check out a hybrid car for us. We picked the hybrid car inspection with the mechanical inspection option and he managed to fit us in within a couple days of booking.InCar’s level of inspection is incredibly thorough, honestly going into so much detail that it can be overwhelming to try take it all in, but the report that comes along with it is concise, clear, and told us exactly what to ask for, what to monitor, and what to do.We had never owned hybrids before, so getting super-detailed checks made us feel more informed about what we were buying. 					Very very thorough. Carl will capture every tiny detail that is on your car. He pointed out over a dozen things that I couldn’t spot by looking closely with my own eyes. He also provides a comprehensive report - should you need to prove the true condition of your car during a sale,  Carl’s comprehensive report details it all. He will even deal directly with the dealer and also after the inspection is done, Carl keeps in touch and makes sure that the transaction with the dealership goes alright. Carl said “if they have an issue with the report, get them to call me and I’ll sort it out. 					Brilliant service by Carl at Incar Automotive. I phoned him late on Monday and he had managed to inspect the car by Tuesday evening (due to a cancellation). By Thursday morning I received the detailed inspection report as well as dozens of photos of the vehicle and images and videos from his testing software, confirming that the car was in very good nick. 					I was eyeing a Lexus hybrid. It would cost me quite a lot (for me at least) so I was super careful. No upfront deposit, only until I got a pre-purchase inspection from Carl. His detailed reports were full of images, videos and information (if you are nerd enough to understand), also including a conclusion about the car. I especially care most about its hybrid battery. I really trust Carl's report on hybrid battery because it shows multiple information about the battery such as diff voltage between cells and internal cell resistant. Everything turned out great and I'll be getting the car, knowing it is a good buy. So totally recommended and would use him another time. Oh, forgot to mention, I used his service before on a Camry hybrid. He stopped the inspection after finding out that the car has a bad hybrid battery and would cost me a lot downstream. That also save me from paying for further inspection. This shows his integrity which is rare these days. Remember folks, post-purchase inspection is a bad idea, pre-purchase inspection is a good idea and pre-purchase inspection by Incarautomotive is the best idea. This is the way!

					Incar Automotive is simply the best pre-purchase inspection business around - no question about it. Carl spends several hours doing the inspection, takes literally hundreds of photos (I received nearly 500 photos), performs heaps of diagnostic tests, tests for head gasket leaks, scans the paintwork to find areas that have been repainted, uses thermal imaging…the list goes on. The report you receive is extremely clear, with items colour coded to reflect whether they are cosmetic points, defects needing repair or maintenance items that should be monitored.  Carl also provides you with a wealth of diagnostic information about the car, as well as factsheets explaining what the reports mean. I’d recommend Incar Automotive if you’re just buying an ordinary petrol/diesel powered car, but particularly recommend Incar if you’re buying a hybrid or EV.  Other pre-purchase inspection companies can’t test any of the high voltage components (including the high voltage battery), so if you get them to inspect a hybrid or EV they leave out a hugely important part.  Alternatively, you have to get them to inspect the car, and then take it to a shop that specialises in hybrids and EVs to do the high voltage inspection, which is a total hassle (and some dealers won’t even let you take the car off their lot to do it, anyway!).  Incar Automotive is fully mobile, so they can inspect all aspects of the vehicle (including the high voltage components) on-site, and do an extremely thorough job. The customer service is second to none.  I texted Carl on the Sunday of a public holiday weekend and within 30 seconds to a minute later he’d texted me back to let me know he could do the inspection that Tuesday.  Carl also prepares his reports overnight, so they’re in your inbox ready to read first thing in the morning. The pricing is also extremely reasonable. I simply can’t recommend Incar Automotive enough.  If you’re buying a second hand vehicle, you have to get Carl from Incar Automotive to inspect it!

					We were so impressed with our Battery Health Check from Carl at Incar Automotive for a hybrid car we were considering buying. We received a highly detailed summary report created from several pages of detailed data from multiple tests and 60+ detailed photos showing everything that was checked including the digital dashboard functions and 20+ thermal imaging pictures of the interior. If only we had known about Incar earlier, we would have definitely chosen to do a Pre-Purchase 360° Full Inspection with Carl. Unfortunately, we only heard about them after doing a Pre-purchase Inspection check with a much more well known company, where for the same price as Incar's Battery Health Check, all we received was a tick sheet of everything that was checked, a one sentence basic report summary with a couple of sentences on various aspects of the check and 7 photos. Even from the start, the communication was incredible—he was replying to my messages and answering questions as late as 9 pm, which I really didn't expect but greatly appreciated.On the day of the inspection, it was drizzling, but he went above and beyond to accommodate the request and finished the task without rescheduling. Despite the poor weather, he didn't rush or cut corners to finish quickly. He was incredibly thorough, checking every detail of the car with total professionalism.What stood out most was how helpful he was after the inspection. He took the time to answer all my questions, explained the symptoms of the test results clearly, and told me exactly what I should look out for and what wasn't a cause for concern. He even gave me several great suggestions on how to maintain the car and take care of it in the long run.If you need a PPI, I can't recommend Incar Automotive enough. You get an honest, detailed, and high-quality assessment from someone who clearly cares about their customers. Truly top-tier service!

					I was considering the purchase of a Audi S6 but needed to find someone independent to assure me I wasn't buying a lemon given these vehicles are complicated with a lot going on in them. 					The pre-purchase inspection that Carl carried out on a Nissan Note hybrid for me was above anything I was expecting even after reading lots of reviews. It seems there was not a cm of the vehicle that he didn't check, test, photograph and report on. He was also very prompt in responding to text and phone queries and had the inspection carried out within 3 days of booking. For anyone reading this, he does check for absolutely anything he is able to find wrong with the car and I received over 500 photos including thermal imaging of the AC vents! Wow! Comprehensive battery checks, paint checks to see if the car has been in a crash, checks I didn't even know existed. He took my call on a Saturday and performed the inspection the following Monday.
