					Carl recently did a comprehensive used vehicle pre purchase inspection for me. I'm currently living in Australia and the service was exemplary. Not only did he do the inspection at very short notice but I received a large number of photos, videos and diagnostic information. He tied it all together with a very full summary. Based on his assessment I did not purchase the vehicle and felt the price paid was a small investment which saved a huge possible loss. I thoroughly recommend Carl's excellent service and he is surely one of the most knowledgeable inspectors in New Zealand.

					The pre-purchase inspection that Carl carried out on a Nissan Note hybrid for me was above anything I was expecting even after reading lots of reviews. It seems there was not a cm of the vehicle that he didn't check, test, photograph and report on. He was also very prompt in responding to text and phone queries and had the inspection carried out within 3 days of booking. I had the Option 2 inspection done and it is the best money I have ever spent. I am confident that the car I now own is going to be a safe and reliable vehicle for me thanks to Carl. Don't hesitate - book him in to check your would-be purchase!!!

					Absolutely amazing service that Carl provides. Good quality photos, in-depth testing, solid communication.. you won't be disappointed with his inspections!!! For anyone reading this, he does check for absolutely anything he is able to find wrong with the car and I received over 500 photos including thermal imaging of the AC vents! Wow! Comprehensive battery checks, paint checks to see if the car has been in a crash, checks I didn't even know existed. He took my call on a Saturday and performed the inspection the following Monday. Incredible job.

					This was our second time using Carl to check out a hybrid car for us. We picked the hybrid car inspection with the mechanical inspection option and he managed to fit us in within a couple days of booking.InCar’s level of inspection is incredibly thorough, honestly going into so much detail that it can be overwhelming to try take it all in, but the report that comes along with it is concise, clear, and told us exactly what to ask for, what to monitor, and what to do.We had never owned hybrids before, so getting super-detailed checks made us feel more informed about what we were buying. 					Carl from Incar Automotive Ltd is a legend! I contacted him late on a Sat night and he undertook an inspection the next day on a Sun! The actual inspection took 2 hours and even the salesman commented on how thorough he is compared to everyone else. I received dozens of high quality photos and reports on more tests than anyone else advertises. Everything is then summarised into a final report and Carl took my follow up phone call when I had questions. There were a few findings with the vehicle and Carl even offered to follow up the next day because he had another job at the same car yard and was going to be there anyway. If you want the best inspection service likely in all of NZ, then Carl from Incar Automotive Ltd is your guy!

					Just had a pre-purchase inspection done by Carl on a 2017 Land Cruiser and am very impressed with how thorough and detailed his reports are. I've used other PPI specialist in the past and they maybe cover 1/8th of what Carl does. It's definitely an investment worth doing if you want to have peace of mind on your purchase!

					I had Carl do pre‑purchase inspections on two different Lexus hybrid cars, and honestly, he was amazing. It was a big purchase for me, so I wanted to be 100% sure before committing.Carl works completely for the buyer, so I didn’t have to coordinate anything with the sellers. 					Carl did a pre-purchase inspection for me on a car I was looking at purchasing. I needed the inspection done over the weekend when AA and VTNZ were closed and so reached out to Carl. He was very accommodating with timing and was able to give me a quick rundown after the inspection before issuing the full report, which was super helpful. He was extremely thorough and checked so many things, even finding some previous damage and repair on the car which was practically invisible (I still can't see it!). His advice was very practical and helpful (e.g., he made it clear that the previous damage was minor and purely cosmetic, not affecting the function of the car) and I was very confident in proceeding with the purchase of the car after getting his green light. He was even kind enough to help with some follow up questions I had after purchasing the car. I couldn't recommend Carl highly enough, I feel his inspection is miles beyond what AA or VTNZ would have done, and I am extremely happy to have found him. Thank you so much Carl!

					Had a wonderful experience with Carl's inspection service yesterday. Long story short, Carl inspected 2 vehicles in total, at 2 different locations. The 1st vehicle has an major issue, he stop the inspection immediately & did not charge a full payment. He even go the extra mile for me to inspect the 2nd vehicle at the other location dispite his busy schedule. Carl is very honest. I choose option 2 EV inspection, however when he found a major issue with the vehicle he stop the inspection immediately. I believe others might have gone through the entire inspection & let you know after together with a full payment. I truly admire his work ethics & totally trust his inspection skill (I bought the 2nd vehicle without even test driving). Thank you Carl, I would definitely engaged & recommend your service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

					I paid $285 for a vehicle inspection with Incar Automotive, as I couldn't see the car myself. Regrettably, the inspection missed significant damage, including an ugly 5mm hole in the door trim, which I noticed soon after receiving the car. Incar admitted the mistake was "unacceptable," yet refused to refund the inspection fee, despite the repair costs exceeding the original fee. Choose someone else.

Whilst he was extremely busy he managed to fit us in quickly and then the report we received was incredibly thorough - full reports and photos. 					We were so impressed with our Battery Health Check from Carl at Incar Automotive for a hybrid car we were considering buying. We received a highly detailed summary report created from several pages of detailed data from multiple tests and 60+ detailed photos showing everything that was checked including the digital dashboard functions and 20+ thermal imaging pictures of the interior. If only we had known about Incar earlier, we would have definitely chosen to do a Pre-Purchase 360° Full Inspection with Carl. Unfortunately, we only heard about them after doing a Pre-purchase Inspection check with a much more well known company, where for the same price as Incar's Battery Health Check, all we received was a tick sheet of everything that was checked, a one sentence basic report summary with a couple of sentences on various aspects of the check and 7 photos. I can't recommend Incar highly enough for anyone wanting a thorough, detailed, in depth Pre-Purchase Inspection/Check.

					Incar automotive is "sweet as"! Carl was phenomenal. We are from NYC and wanted to buy a campervan to travel NZ. No one was open because it was holiday season, but Carl saved us. We needed our van inspected and he got straight to work as soon as he arrived and provided info about the "what and why" he was doing. Very honest and took care of a few small fixes at a fair price afterwards. I even called him by accident a few days later and he asked "how is she running" and what to keep an eye on. 					Amazing top-notch service by Carl! We texted on Sunday morning yesterday to check whether he is available in the next couple of days. After exchanging a couple of texts to provide the vendor's contact information, Carl confirmed he will conduct the inspection within an hour of our contact on a Sunday too! WOWZERS I've never had that level of service anywhere in NZ! We were expecting to wait at least a week before the inspection will be carried out - absolutely amazing! 					Amazingly fast & in-depth service! My inspection was able to be carried out only hours after I had first contacted Carl (as he had a cancellation that worked out perfectly for me) and by the next morning I had his completed (and very in-depth) set of reports waiting for me in my email - along with hundreds of photos that covered every inch of the car. The report Carl provides is delivered on time and packed with in depth information and pictures detailing information about the car. He also summarised the report to make it more understandable for me - someone with little car knowledge. He dealt with the car yard salesman directly and also helped me to communicate to them areas that needed attention on the car. He replies quickly and travels to the location of the vehicle! 					Simply the best 100%. It's hard to describe how exceptional Carls expert service. I honestly couldn't believe how much detail & personalization to my car inspection. It gave me 100% confidence in making a purchase with the inspection of the vehicle I purchased from a dealer in Auckland. I've already told a lot of friends & family about him, and recommended any kind of vehicle brand from Euro to Japanese & more. 					Carl is amazing! For someone who doesn’t have much knowledge on cars in general and is investing in buying a used car is a worrying situation for me. After researching who does pre-purchase inspection, I luckily landed on Incar Automotive. Reading the reviews and knowing Carl has a whole section on his website of banned locations got me feeling like he can be truly trusted with the inspection and knowing I won’t be purchasing a lemon. He has options from petrol, diesel, EV and hybrid cars available in his services. I looked him up online and sent an email a few days later, late one evening, querying his services as it was close to Christmas. I got a phone call about ten minutes later! 					I am the seller, and the buyer organised a prepurchase car inspection on my car. I was really impressed with how thorough Carl was when checking the car. He ran a very detailed hybrid battery diagnosis (with video proof), he also has a gadget for for every car part! I was so impressed. I remember a few years ago, I had organised an AA prepurchase inspection; when i compare the amount of details that these two companies checked, I highly recommend Incar Automotive Ltd. over AA. To have the peace of mind when buying a second hand car (especially through private selling), I strongly suggest that you talk to this guy before making your decision. This is a photo when Carl was running the battery test, he connected the pipe to use the AC to cool down the hybrid battery. It is really interesting to see.

Even from the start, the communication was incredible—he was replying to my messages and answering questions as late as 9 pm, which I really didn't expect but greatly appreciated.On the day of the inspection, it was drizzling, but he went above and beyond to accommodate the request and finished the task without rescheduling. Despite the poor weather, he didn't rush or cut corners to finish quickly. He was incredibly thorough, checking every detail of the car with total professionalism.What stood out most was how helpful he was after the inspection. He took the time to answer all my questions, explained the symptoms of the test results clearly, and told me exactly what I should look out for and what wasn't a cause for concern. He even gave me several great suggestions on how to maintain the car and take care of it in the long run.If you need a PPI, I can't recommend Incar Automotive enough. 					If you are looking for a competent, experienced, eager to help and a thorough inspector for your pre-purchase car inspection, Carl should be your ultimate choice!! Upon hiring him, Carl got in touch with the dealer and arranged a time for the mobile PPI himself. He performed a very in-depth inspection, including all sorts of tests and took detailed photos of the car. He wrote up this report the same night and I had my results the next morning. He emailed the report as well as all photos and test results. Later that morning we discussed the condition of the car and came to the conclusion that it was overpriced. 					Carl completed a pre-purchase inspection for me on a Toyota Aqua and I found the thoroughness of his inspection (both mechanical and the hybrid system) and the detail of the report well and truly exceeded my expectations. He identified a few minor issues needing attention that I'd never have known about otherwise. These items were clearly highlighted in the report and he'd briefed the dealer also. In an extremely fortuitous turn of events, he happened to be doing another inspection at the same car yard when I picked up my car today so I was able to thank him directly. Unprompted, Carl helped question the dealer as to whether the issues had been fixed and as I was leaving he double-checked that the hybrid battery filter had been cleaned. I think what Carl does is excellently thorough...just know that this is what you'll get...a very thorough report! 					I can recommend Carl from Incar Automotive for pre-purchase inspections, especially for EVs. I had seen his website when I started looking at cars and then got his details from the team at GVI again so contacted him through his website and he was onsite the very next day to do the inspection of a Nissan Leaf 2018. As we were doing a high voltage system and mechanical inspection, he contacted me once he had concluded that the battery etc were all in good order before starting the mechanical inspection, that was great as there would be no point in continuing if the battery etc were not up to scratch. The report and pictures he provided were so detailed and there was nothing missed, especially in comparison to the simple check list you get from AA and other inspections, and well worth the price. The items he identified were also passed onto the dealer who has come to party and will ensure everything is fixed before we pick up the vehicle, so I'm sure he saved us some money down the road when we found them eventually. The report also detailed things to look out for in the future which I’ve never had from an inspection before. If you want certainty around your purchase, then take advantage of Carl’s experience to help guide your decision.
