					Carl did a pre-purchase inspection on a Prado for us at short notice. This was important to us as we wanted it checked before the weekend as we wanted to purchase it asap. We were replacing a stolen car so we had been 1 car down. He couldn't have been more helpful. He contacted me as soon as finished and gave a quick verbal opinion on the vehicle and outlined a couple of minor issues. He finished by saying "I would buy car". That was all I needed to hear. An hour later, we bought the car. He forwarded the tests, photos, videos and reports, later that night. To say they were comprehensive, would be an understatement. 					Carl did a pre-purchase inspection for me on a car I was looking at purchasing. I needed the inspection done over the weekend when AA and VTNZ were closed and so reached out to Carl. He was very accommodating with timing and was able to give me a quick rundown after the inspection before issuing the full report, which was super helpful. He was extremely thorough and checked so many things, even finding some previous damage and repair on the car which was practically invisible (I still can't see it!). His advice was very practical and helpful (e.g., he made it clear that the previous damage was minor and purely cosmetic, not affecting the function of the car) and I was very confident in proceeding with the purchase of the car after getting his green light. He was even kind enough to help with some follow up questions I had after purchasing the car. I couldn't recommend Carl highly enough, I feel his inspection is miles beyond what AA or VTNZ would have done, and I am extremely happy to have found him. Thank you so much Carl!

					I can recommend Carl from Incar Automotive for pre-purchase inspections, especially for EVs. I had seen his website when I started looking at cars and then got his details from the team at GVI again so contacted him through his website and he was onsite the very next day to do the inspection of a Nissan Leaf 2018. As we were doing a high voltage system and mechanical inspection, he contacted me once he had concluded that the battery etc were all in good order before starting the mechanical inspection, that was great as there would be no point in continuing if the battery etc were not up to scratch. The report and pictures he provided were so detailed and there was nothing missed, especially in comparison to the simple check list you get from AA and other inspections, and well worth the price. The items he identified were also passed onto the dealer who has come to party and will ensure everything is fixed before we pick up the vehicle, so I'm sure he saved us some money down the road when we found them eventually. The report also detailed things to look out for in the future which I’ve never had from an inspection before. If you want certainty around your purchase, then take advantage of Carl’s experience to help guide your decision.

					Carl completed a pre-purchase inspection for me on a Toyota Aqua and I found the thoroughness of his inspection (both mechanical and the hybrid system) and the detail of the report well and truly exceeded my expectations. He identified a few minor issues needing attention that I'd never have known about otherwise. These items were clearly highlighted in the report and he'd briefed the dealer also. In an extremely fortuitous turn of events, he happened to be doing another inspection at the same car yard when I picked up my car today so I was able to thank him directly. Unprompted, Carl helped question the dealer as to whether the issues had been fixed and as I was leaving he double-checked that the hybrid battery filter had been cleaned. Upon finding it wasn't, he got out his compressed air gun and did it on the spot! Carl is a true professional and clearly cares about his customers. I unreservedly recommend his services to anyone wanting peace of mind before purchasing a car -- I'll certainly be coming back next time I'm looking for a car! Thanks Carl!

					Had a wonderful experience with Carl's inspection service yesterday. Long story short, Carl inspected 2 vehicles in total, at 2 different locations. The 1st vehicle has an major issue, he stop the inspection immediately & did not charge a full payment. He even go the extra mile for me to inspect the 2nd vehicle at the other location dispite his busy schedule. Carl is very honest. I choose option 2 EV inspection, however when he found a major issue with the vehicle he stop the inspection immediately. I believe others might have gone through the entire inspection & let you know after together with a full payment. 					Carl is the man! Rang up Carl on a Sunday to see if Carl could do a pre-purchase inspection ASAP as we desperately wanted to close the deal on a car before anyone else bought it. Despite some prior miscommunications of our own fault, Carl maintained the highest level of professionalism and went out of his way to re-arrange his busy schedule to accomodate us. Initially he said he was fully booked until Thursday, but on Monday (less than 24 hrs since I called) he found a way to do the inspection and we closed the deal with the seller on the same day. His report was extremely detailed and he provided hundreds of photos of the car's condition. I cannot speak highly enough about this man's professionalism, work ethic, and striving to produce the highest quality of service to his clients. And he's simply a good guy and let us know he's always open for any questions we might have. My mum was so impressed with him that we wanted to pay him an extra tip for his outstanding work (but was unsure if this was allowed under a business account). If you're looking for a pre-purchase inspection, this is the only company I can recommend. After looking around for other services, I found that other companies were not as comprehensive and lacked a few checks here and there (usually due to lacking necessary technology/equipment), which could be the difference between a good car and a lemon. And others like AA may be too focused on ticking boxes on their checklist and inspectors may not have the experience or willingness to let buyers know about problems that might not be on said checklist. I wanted a thorough inspection and full confidence in the used car I'd be buying from a private seller as they obviously have not obligations under the CGA, and Carl gave us just that. 					Used Incar Automotive due to stunning reviews and he didn't disappoint, the car from the dealer was 4.5 Japan import grade and Carl with a c found issues they needed to fix. Of course with it came a thorough test log, extensive pictures and videos and finally a summary of all of the car. The time and cost saved from the fix was alone was well worth the price for the inspection, not to mention the excellent and prompt responses to follow up questions from the report. The summary also detailed things that I should potentially watch out for while getting it serviced next, not just immediate or near term fixes. These things will likely be helpful for those buying while keeping longevity in mind. Afterwards, I went ahead with the purchase with a peace of mind. 					If you are looking for a competent, experienced, eager to help and a thorough inspector for your pre-purchase car inspection, Carl should be your ultimate choice!! Upon hiring him, Carl got in touch with the dealer and arranged a time for the mobile PPI himself. He performed a very in-depth inspection, including all sorts of tests and took detailed photos of the car. He wrote up this report the same night and I had my results the next morning. He emailed the report as well as all photos and test results. Later that morning we discussed the condition of the car and came to the conclusion that it was overpriced. Therefore, I began to look for other cars and Carl offered to have a look at the online adds I forwarded to him and give his opinions. He also suggested asking dealers for the Japanese auction reports, as they give a good first impression of the conditions of a car. I found this a very helpful tip!! 					It was by coincidence that I ended up using Incar vehicle inspections as the other company I was meant to use didn't answer my calls on the inspection day, however, I must say it was the best coincidence of the year! I was surprised by how detailed his inspection was, it took him over 3 hours just for the physical inspection of a Lexus I was interested in buying. He pointed out every single flaw and issue, to the point where he even recorded practically impossible to see windscreen chips. I ended up buying the car he inspected and I was very happy with the purchase. I will most definitely be using him again and again every time I am buying a new car. 					Incar Automotive is simply the best pre-purchase inspection business around - no question about it. Carl spends several hours doing the inspection, takes literally hundreds of photos (I received nearly 500 photos), performs heaps of diagnostic tests, tests for head gasket leaks, scans the paintwork to find areas that have been repainted, uses thermal imaging…the list goes on. The report you receive is extremely clear, with items colour coded to reflect whether they are cosmetic points, defects needing repair or maintenance items that should be monitored.  Carl also provides you with a wealth of diagnostic information about the car, as well as factsheets explaining what the reports mean. I’d recommend Incar Automotive if you’re just buying an ordinary petrol/diesel powered car, but particularly recommend Incar if you’re buying a hybrid or EV.  Other pre-purchase inspection companies can’t test any of the high voltage components (including the high voltage battery), so if you get them to inspect a hybrid or EV they leave out a hugely important part.  Alternatively, you have to get them to inspect the car, and then take it to a shop that specialises in hybrids and EVs to do the high voltage inspection, which is a total hassle (and some dealers won’t even let you take the car off their lot to do it, anyway!).  Incar Automotive is fully mobile, so they can inspect all aspects of the vehicle (including the high voltage components) on-site, and do an extremely thorough job. The customer service is second to none.  I texted Carl on the Sunday of a public holiday weekend and within 30 seconds to a minute later he’d texted me back to let me know he could do the inspection that Tuesday.  Carl also prepares his reports overnight, so they’re in your inbox ready to read first thing in the morning. The pricing is also extremely reasonable. I simply can’t recommend Incar Automotive enough.  If you’re buying a second hand vehicle, you have to get Carl from Incar Automotive to inspect it!

					Carl over delivered by miles on his Hybrid battery test. Most importantly the test was thoroughly carried out and I'm happy with the results knowing Carl is such an expert in the field. We had two tests done the week before we found Carl and they were so basic and now seem unreliable in comparison to what is offered here.

					Absolutely amazing service that Carl provides. Good quality photos, in-depth testing, solid communication.. you won't be disappointed with his inspections!!! For anyone reading this, he does check for absolutely anything he is able to find wrong with the car and I received over 500 photos including thermal imaging of the AC vents! Wow! Comprehensive battery checks, paint checks to see if the car has been in a crash, checks I didn't even know existed. He took my call on a Saturday and performed the inspection the following Monday. Incredible job.

					I had Carl do a pre-purchase assesment on a hybrid I was looking at. I ended up buying the car in part due to his timely, thorough and detailed report. The ammount of photos and detail he puts on his inspection reports gave me all the reassurance I needed to make an informed purchase. The quality of his work in relation to the price I had to pay, including travel cost, truly is a bargain. I highly recommend him to anyone doing due diligence prior to a car purchase.

					Carl is an absolute professional. His reports are incredibly detailed and thorough. He explains his extremely detailed findings in lay mans language and clearly tells you what he has found,both positive and negative with the vehicle. He has diagnostic tools to interrogate the status of the vehicle computer and again offers explanations of his findings. He is personable and accommodating. He liaised with the seller to ensure the service was pain free and promptly completed. Look no further than Carl for your next vehicle inspection, he is a gem.  Above is my review from 2 years ago with Incar Automotive, I just purchased another car and Carl was my first and only port of call for the inspection. He gave me advice regarding an ill considered purchase I looked at with complete honesty and professionalism. The car I did purchase ex-rental corolla got a thorough inspection by Carl and passed with flying colours. If Carl was not happy I would not have considered the purchase. His reports are incredibly detailed with clear explanations of what to focus on, he is accommodating to work in with the seller and quick and easy to deal with. He has only gotten better since I first used him 2 years ago and I continue to recommend him to anyone I know looking for this type of service. Consummate professional and thoroughly pleasant to deal with, any money you spend with Carl will be money very well spent.

					This is the 2nd time I've used Carl's services and booked in a full check for a 2016 Mazda 3. This time round Carl checked even more parts of the car than before, he also took photos of every single bit of the car you could think of! I really needed the inspection report for the next day and he stayed up until 1:30am that night writing it for me - Outstanding service and I was even able to negotiate $2k off the car price because of the detailed body photos.

					Carl has done a very comprehensive report for the car inspection, he'll send you hundreds of photos of every single blemish that you may not have even noticed about the car with a thorough inspection of the engine, transmission and everything else that can possibly be of concern. You'll be overwhelmed by how much information he sends you, fortunately he would give you a easily readable summary report for things you'll need to be concerned about. Would definitely recommend Carl for a car inspection especially if you're unable to see the car yourself.

					I was looking for a good mechanic to inspect a Mazda Axela and Carl had awesome reviews on Google. The cost was $165.. it may seem to be expensive although I went to the car dealership and Carl came in, he talked about the process and we basically did a test drive where he evaluated some points about the car.  After the test drive he started looking the interior and exterior, plus checked many mechanical parts of the vehicle. This process took almost 2.5 hours and Carl was explaining everything that he found out.  The final report is great in detail.. a good range of pictures from the car, plus a detailed written report about the things he has found, good and bad, what should be fixed and an explanation about all the process and technical information, so you can understand everything.  Turns out the car was in a very good condition and Carl saved me some money by giving a small list of items to be changed before purchasing the vehicle. I already recommended Carl to a friend and if you are trying to find a good mechanic to inspect a vehicle.. Carl is the guy.

					Carl performed a pre purchase inspection of a 2021 hybrid SUV for me. His communication was excellent and amazing amount of photos exterior and interior. The report contained a lot of detail but was written in a way I could understand. He found an issue which could have caused me issues in the next WOF. 					Prepurchase inspection - hybrid car Gives a detailed inspection report of the car which gives you confidence to decide whether to purchase the car or not. Overall summary can be improved to include a bit more detail. Not that I'm complaining but sometimes it's hard to understand few details in the inspection report and including them in the summary will help. Thanks a lot for your service. 					I was considering the purchase of a Audi S6 but needed to find someone independent to assure me I wasn't buying a lemon given these vehicles are complicated with a lot going on in them. I did my online research and Carl reviews sounded like exactly what I needed. Carl was able to inspect the vehicle the very next day arranging all the timings direct with the car dealer. Once inspected what I got back from Carl was truely awesome, tons and tons of photos with lots of information...way more detailed than I was expecting.
